Dr. Tania Lucas - Principal Dentist and Special Interest in Orthodontics and Invisalign
Dr Tania Lucas completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 1996. Since graduation Tania has been devoted to the art of dentistry and her professional passion is creating and enhancing beautiful smiles.
Dr Tania Lucas has been practicing amalgam free (no mercury) dentistry since 1999 and through years of continued post graduate education has developed advanced restorative skills using bonded resin and computerised Cerec porcelain inlays, veneers and crowns.
Dr Tania Lucas’ passion for cosmetic dentistry has also led her to the field of orthodontics, in which she has a special interest. Dr Tania Lucas has been a fully accredited Invisalign provider with advanced training since 2008 and has also been admitted as a Fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education (ICCDE) following the completion of 3 years of comprehensive orthodontic training with the worldwide Progressive Orthodontics Seminars.
Dr Tania Lucas is also experienced in wisdom teeth removal and performs surgery under IV sedation with the assistance of a visiting anaesthetist. She is committed to continuing education and regularly travels interstate and overseas to further her knowledge in both general dentistry and orthodontics.

Dr Mathew Dawson - Dentist
Dr Mat Dawson graduated from Adelaide Dental School in 1997 and as such has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years.
Born and raised in Adelaide, Mat spent his first two years out of University in Tasmania and the next two years in London. Following that he returned home to Adelaide, working at a couple of locations before finding his permanent work home at Lucas Dental, where he has been for the last 14 years.
Dr Mat Dawson prides himself on being a general dentist and believes in always treating his patients as if they were family members. His professional passions include aesthetic improvements, Cad/Cam dentistry, digital imaging and helping patients achieve stability and health within their mouths.
Mat is a devoted family man, living in the Mitcham area with his wife, two boys, a dog and four chickens. He is a big Adelaide United fan and is active at the Cumberland United Football Club with his two boys. Mat loves the outdoors and on weekends can be found on the side of various football pitches and trail running in the local hills. Afterwards occasionally enjoying a nice meal and a glass of wine at the Ed.

Julieann May - Dental Hygienist & Tooth Whitening Consultant
Julieann graduated Gillies Plains Tafe, South Australia in 2006 with an Advanced Diploma in Dental
Hygiene.
She joined Lucas Dental as a new graduate and has remained with us since.
She has a strong interest in Orthodontics and Periodontics and has gained experience in
Orthodontics by working both in a specialist Orthodontic practice in the city and alongside Dr Tania
Lucas and Dr Raena Tabesh here at Lucas Dental
She is an active member of the DHAA and has served as a councillor for the association.
She has a very calming nature and gets a great deal of satisfaction from working with nervous
patients, helping them to overcome their fears. Her constant chatter and funny stories are two of
the distraction techniques she utilises.
Julieann is married with two grown daughters both of which have left the nest and are moving
forward with their own careers and lives, you can often hear her chatting with patients about the
family’s lives incorporating some of the antics of the family and their dogs: Glen, Geoffrey and
Winnie along with her own 2 high maintenance Cavaliers – Daisy and Lilly.
Carolyn Crosato - Dental Hygienist & Tooth Whitening Consultant
Carolyn studied Advanced Diploma of Dental Hygiene at Gillies Plains TAFE, South Australia in 2014. Following graduation, she worked as a hygienist in both general and orthodontic private practices in Perth and recently moved back to Adelaide.
Carolyn joined Lucas Dental in May 2017 where she was able to continue developing her skills in orthodontics. Working closely alongside Dr Tania Lucas providing orthodontic treatment for patients of the practice.
Carolyn’s focus is on establishing rapport and developing positive experiences for all patients that she works with. Carolyn takes the time with each of her patients to discuss dental disease prevention and improving oral hygiene habits for optimum oral health.
She keeps up to date with the latest knowledge and advancements in dentistry through Continued Professional Development seminars.
Carolyn is married with two beautiful girls and likes to keep fit.
Jenna Davey - Oral Health Therapist - Special Interest in Children & Adolescent Dentistry
Jenna is a wife and mum of three young and very active boys. She understands the daily battle of motivating young kids in establishing good oral hygiene and diet habits and can provide useful tips to help your family achieve optimal oral health.
Jenna graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008 with a degree in the Bachelor of Oral Health as an Oral Health Therapist. Jenna’s role as an Oral Health Therapist encompasses three main roles, she is a dental hygienist, a children’s dental therapist and an adult dental therapist.
Jenna has over 10 years experience working in general dentistry and came to Lucas Dental with an abundance of experience in diagnosing and treating dental diseases in both adults and children. Jenna has a strong focus in paediatric dentistry and enjoys getting to know all the children and making their dental experiences as fun as possible. Jenna is often seen doing check-ups on the fluffy toys that kids bring along to their appointment, putting the little ones at ease and having a bit of a laugh!
Jenna is active in continuing education programmes and in 2017, completed post graduate studies at the University of Adelaide extending her scope and knowledge in adult dentistry and assists our dentists in diagnosing and treating their adult patients.
Erika Pope - Oral Health Therapist - Special Interest in Children & Adolescent Dentistry
Erika graduated from the University of Qld in 2005 after completing a Bachelor of Oral Health.
Erika has lived/worked in various states across the country, returning to South Australia in 2020 and joining Lucas Dental in February 2021. Some of you may recognise Erika as she worked at Lucas Dental in 2013-2015.
Erika finds her passion for dentistry in educating and assisting patients in achieving their desired outcomes. While enjoying all aspects of dentistry, Erika’s focus is on prevention and ensuring her patients leave comfortable and motivated. Erika especially loves seeing children and their families, and has a special interest in periodontal disease.
Erika has tutored at the University and volunteered overseas, Erika is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia and gains satisfaction from continuing education throughout the year.
Erika lives in the Adelaide Hills with her husband Josh, daughters Charlotte and Amelia and dogs, Lola and Alfie.
Yomna Elbakary - Dental Hygienist & Tooth Whitening Consultant
Yomna completed Advanced Diploma in Oral Health (Dental Hygiene), Adelaide 2018.
She is passionate about providing preventative dental care in an informative approach tailored to each patient’s needs.
With special interest in teeth whitening using Zoom technology to create the desired smile.
Yomna believes that keeping up to date with the latest technologies in dentistry is the key towards providing best dental care to our patients.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, walking and spending time with family.
Katrina Masters - Dental Hygienist & Tooth Whitening Consultant
Katrina started in the dental industry in 2011 as a dental assistant where she quickly drew a passion to pursue her career and become a dental hygienist. Katrina graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene) in 2018.
Katrina enjoys working with patients to help alleviate their dental anxieties and create a more pleasant experience. Katrina also works in an orthodontic practice part time, and has a special interest in orthodontics.
Katrina started with Lucas Dental in 2020 and is happy to be onboard with an amazing team.
Outside of work she enjoys cooking and watching her favourite sporting teams.
