Graduating from Adelaide University in 1993, Michael began building his own Practice almost immediately after leaving the clutches of Dental School.
After 12 years of growing his Practice from six staff to twenty staff, Michael in 2005 along with his wife Tania opened their dream Practice where they could perform the type of Dentistry most professionals can only think about.
Michael provides the highest level of comprehensive Dentistry available, his specialty being in restoring smiles back to their former glory. He enjoys giving people something to smile about..
From the day of graduation, he has been a member of numerous dental society study groups, holding key positions in groups such as the Australasian Osseo-integration Society and the Australian Society of Dental Aesthetics.
Continuing education has always been a strong focus point for Michael as he believes you need to keep up with the latest techniques in order to give the patient the best treatment options available.
Michael is well known for his honesty, and "give it to me straight" attitude in the surgery. Attributes which are well complimented by his caring personality.

Dr. Tania Lucas.
Dr Tania Lucas completed her bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 1996. Since graduation Tania has been devoted to the art of dentistry and her professional passion is creating and enhancing beautiful smiles.
Tania has been practicing amalgam free (no mercury) dentistry since 1999 and through years of continued post graduate education has developed advanced restorative skills using bonded resin, computerized Cerec porcelain inlays and laboratory crafted ceramic veneers and crowns.
Tania's passion for cosmetic dentistry has also led her to the field of orthodontics, and as a fully certified Invisalign Doctor she has had great success with creating straight, white smiles for many patients.
Tania is also experienced is wisdom teeth removal and regularly performs surgery under IV sedation with the assistance of a visiting anaesthetist.
Tania is married to Dr Michael Lucas and they have 3 children.
Dr. Mat Dawson.
Mathew Dawson is a 36 year old Dentist who was born and raised in Adelaide. He grew up in the Mitcham area and attended Dental School in Adelaide. Graduating in late 1997, he worked in Tasmania for 2 years and then headed off to work in London for 2 years. He returned home to Adelaide and has settled with his wife and two children.
His interests include spending time with his family, golf, mountain bike riding, soccer and skiing.
Mathew has been at Lucas Dental for 7 ½ years and has 13 years of private practice experience. Having traveled interstate and overseas with dentistry, Mat has extensive dental experience. Mat prides himself on being a general Dentist. i.e performing all aspects of Dentistry from full dentures to caring for children.
His special interests include enhancing cosmetics, fixing the badly broken set of teeth, implants, dentures to the caring of the anxious or phobic patient. Mat particularly gets satisfactions from turning the non attending frightened patient into one that is comfortable and happy at the dentist.
Mat enjoys staying up to date with Dental technology and regularly attends further education courses.
Kylie Langston.
Kylie, a born and raised Port Pirie Girl graduated as a Dental Therapist way back in 1998. Her passion for Oral Health saw her go to complete a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2002.
Over the years Kylie has gained a wealth of experience in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of Oral Diseases in both adults and children. As much as Kylie enjoys working with her adult patients to achieve optimum dental health, she does have a particular interest in child and adolescent dental health. She strongly believes that those early years are crucial in building the foundations for good oral health for life.
Kylie is married to Mark and has two busy teenage daughters. She is passionate about health and fitness and can be seen most early mornings exercising or jogging along the beautiful western beaches. Her leisure time, which she says is rare, is spent walking her beloved Labradoodle Archie, shopping, socialising or just relaxing with a good book at home by the pool.
Kylie's patients and colleagues say that it is her professional yet friendly, caring nature that is what they love most about her. Some say it's her sense of humour! Regardless, Kylie will always strive to provide you or your children with the highest quality of dental care and most importantly when you visit Kylie you will be guaranteed an enjoyable dental experience.
